Founded in 1975, the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Florida is a program of excellence that supports planning education, the profession, and our communities. Our mission – through teaching, research, and service – is to better our built and natural environments through good stewardship, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion. We offer accredited on-campus and online Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) degree programs, certificates, and a doctoral program. Our academic programs are comprehensive in nature, while also allowing specialization and emphasis in chosen facets of the planning field.
