Candice is an Urban Planner and Designer at Gehl’s New York office, working with city agencies and community leaders nationwide to enhance equitable outcomes through public spaces. With a background in environmental journalism and long-range planning, she integrates social science research into her projects. Her work spans New York, Washington, D.C., Cambridge, Detroit, San Francisco Bay Area, and Northwest Arkansas. Candice recently published research on public spaces' impact on social connection and loneliness. She holds a Master’s in Urban Planning from Columbia University and received the New York Chapter of the American Planning Association’s Award for Urban Planning excellence.
