Abbey Ness is an AICP- and NCI Charrette System-certified planner and facilitator with a broad background in land use planning and community development. She has facilitated public workshops and meetings in support of local and federal projects ranging from two to over 500 participants. Ms. Ness’ facilitation experience includes community development workshops in environmental justice communities, community-based collaborative meetings addressing asset-based development in rural Appalachia, and bilingual multi-nation planning charrettes. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Policy from Duke University and a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.
