Jill is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of a woman-owned, veteran-owned (former Air Force civil engineering officer) small business specializing in planning, training, explosives safety, and facilitation. She has facilitated hundreds of planning workshops around the world (spanning 40 states and three continents) ranging from dozens to hundreds of participants. She loves bringing people together to solve complex planning challenges. Her stakeholder-centered, interactive charrette design makes her a sought-after facilitator in the federal planning industry.
Jill earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Duke University, where she currently serves as a Board Member for the Pratt School of Engineering. She received her Master’s in Business Administration from Emory University, which she attended as a Woodruff Fellow. She was the inaugural co-chair of the Woodruff Alumni Advisory Board. She completed a two-year term (2018-2019) as the Vice Chair of the American Planning Association’s (APA) Federal Planning Division (FPD), where the chapter was honored with APA’s Outstanding Division Performance Award during her tenure. She currently serves as the APA Engagement Coordinator on FPD’s Executive Committee and a Director-At-Large for the National Capital Area Chapter. She founded The Schreifer Group, an award-winning woman-owned, veteran-owned small business, in 2016.
