I am a teacher and researcher in urban planning. With my students and partners, we learn about how and why urban projects transform cities. Currently leading a project on Bike Bus and active travel programs for children. Our research group generates evidence that best practices are effective at creating people centered and healthy cities. Our work is inclusive, respectful and collaborative. Special interest in school streets, active travel, citizen science, bike bus, bicycle policy. Previously a planning professor School of Community and Regional Planning at the University of British Columbia, now leading the City Lab Barcelona research group at ICTA-UAB.
