Laura Santos Granja, M.U.R.P., Ph.D. Candidate, is a researcher and urban planner specializing in housing justice and equitable urban development. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Geography, Planning, and Design at the University of Colorado Denver, where her research focuses on scaling community land trusts to balance affordability, governance, and community dynamics. With experience as an architect, urban design professor, and planner in both public and private sectors—including work with low-income housing renovation—Laura brings a multidimensional perspective to inclusive housing strategies. Her expertise lies in non-speculative land tenure models, gentrification mitigation, and policies that promote long-term affordability.
