Mr. Markland has nearly 30 years of environmental consulting experience and has successfully worked with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders on nearly 200 brownfields sites in the past 15 years. He is an expert in developing funding to address contaminated properties and regularly works with lawmakers to discuss the role both federal and state funding plays to help redevelop brownfield sites, encouraging economic development and community revitalization. As a nationally recognized expert in brownfields redevelopment, he works with local government agencies, non-profits, and private stakeholders to develop funding strategies to facilitate the redevelopment of brownfields and other contaminated properties.
