Jennifer has enjoyed her 16-year planning career as an AICP-accredited planner in a wide array of places from the desert southwest, to the Pacific Northwest, down to the Gulf Coast, though she’s originally from Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. She is also a proud citizen of the Chickasaw nation. She earned a Bachelors in Business Administration from Texas Tech University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University, during which time she also served in the Peace Corps Albania in the Masters Internationalist Program. She is currently the Planning Director for the Town of Hudson and her experience ranges from development services, long-range planning, affordable housing, environmental planning, and economic development. Jennifer is an active planning volunteer and currently serves as the chair of APA’s Tribal and Indigenous Planning Division, chair of the Colorado APA Chapter’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, an appointed member of the AICP Commission’s AICP Exam Committee as well on the board of Western Planner representing the Tribal and Indigenous Planning Division.
