Benita Lily Cheng is a Flood Resilience Planner with the DC Department of Energy and Environment. Her work focuses on planning and designing for equitable flood and climate adaptation in the District. She is currently managing the District's Integrated Flood Model; the Watts Branch Flood Resilience Strategy; as well as a regional flood resilience collaboration effort with Prince George's County, in addition to supporting the Climate Ready DC Plan update. Lily holds a B.A. in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Masters in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on climate resilient urban design.
