Angela Drent, M.S., is a Health Promotion Specialist at Siouxland District Health Department located in Sioux City, IA. Since April of 2006, Angela has strived to improve physical activity and nutrition opportunities for all Woodbury County residents via policy, systems, and environmental changes. She has implemented a variety of community wellness initiatives including the All Abilities Health & Wellness Coalition, Worksite Wellness, Safe Routes to School, Complete Streets, Nutrition Environmental Measures Survey, Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care Centers, and Outdoor Play and Learning projects. She also serves as chair of the City of Sioux City Active Transportation Advisory Committee and serves on a variety of other boards in the community.
