Sharon Fletcher, Houston Freedmen’s Town Conservancy's Executive Director, oversees the organization’s strategic vision to achieve its core priorities and goals. She is a graduate of the University of Houston with more than 17 years of experience serving the City of Houston as Deputy Chief of Staff, Special Projects and Partnership Manager, and Program Manager for various departments. Sharon has led multiple key city initiatives impacting lives through civic engagement, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and literacy. Sharon’s leadership of programs has earned recognition and awards like the Texas Libraries Association “Libraries Changing Communities” Award and the American Libraries Association National Conference Spotlight.
