Annis Sengupta

Boston, MA

Annis W. Sengutpa, PhD, is the Director of Arts and Culture at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, the regional planning agency serving metro Boston. In this role, she is stimulating a creative shift in the planning and community development to foster policy and planning conditions that allow arts and culture to thrive. Prior to MAPC, Annis worked for more than a decade as a planning consultant and lecturer. Annis holds a master's in city planning and doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in architecture from Yale University. Annis chairs the APA Arts & Planning Division.
