Cynthia Woo, Director, Pao Arts Center and Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center since 2017. Before Pao Arts Center, she held positions at the Boston Center for the Arts and LynnArts. She is the co-author of “Can the Arts Combat the Negative Effects of Gentrification?: The Pao Arts Center in Boston’s Chinatown” (working paper, 2019) funded by an NEA Research Grant and “Untold Stories, Unsung Heroes: Using Visual Narratives to Resist Historical Exclusion, Exoticization, and Gentrification in Boston Chinatown” (2020). Woo has a MA in Art History and certificates in Museum Studies and Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Tufts University.
