Valerie is an Environmental Justice Administrator II with Denver's Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency. Valerie is co-creating the City's first Tribal Communities Climate Justice Program focused on environmental justice and implements human-centered design principles through mobility and other climate-related areas of focus.. Valerie served as the Climate Equity Specialist for the City of San Diego in 2023 and before that - worked for Denver's Community Planning and Development Department on neighborhood planning, EDI integration, rezoning, and comprehensive sign plans from 2017 to 2022. Valerie has achieved a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Valerie is highly dedicated to her work, compassionate, empathetic, and prioritizes fulfilling her role as a public servant to provide education, empowerment, and resources to some of the most disproportionately impacted communities.
