Tina Axelrad recently stepped down as the Zoning Administrator for the City of Denver, directing all zoning permitting, inspection, and enforcement functions and a work program including code interpretations, code maintenance updates, performance monitoring, and staff training. Currently, Tina is still with the city and the principal project manager for a year-long diagnostic of Denver's zoning code and urban design standards and guidelines, with an eye toward future and significant regulatory revisions to achieve affordability, sustainability, efficiency, and urban design goals. Previously, Tina was a Principal City Planner with Denver, where she co-managed the Denver Zoning Code update and implementation project, collaborated on text and map amendments, and led various plan implementation projects. Prior to her time at Denver, Tina was a principal with Clarion Associates, a national land use and planning consulting firm . Tina holds law and urban planning degrees from New York University.
