Jessica McVary is a supervisor with the Montgomery County Planning Department. In this role, Jessica leads a team of planners in the development of data-driven plans that seek to improve the county’s built and natural environments. Jessica has guided several initiatives including the Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan, recipient of the Harold Foster Award for Distinction in Community Outreach and Engagement from APA’s National Capital Area Chapter. She earned a master’s degree in planning from the University of Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Bucknell University. She is a member of APA, AICP and Lambda Alpha International.
