Stephanie Smith

Montpelier, Vermont

Stephanie has been a part of the Hazard Mitigation Section at Vermont Emergency Management since 2016, managing the team as the State Hazard Mitigation Officer since 2020. The team reviews and approves Local Hazard Mitigation Plans for Vermont communities, develops a State Hazard Mitigation Plan every 5-years, and manages a significant amount of grant funding, both State and FEMA. Stephanie holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
