Kari Bailey is a Planner at the NYC Department of City Planning. She manages proposed development in districts with protection of natural features. This includes navigating through policy issues and facilitating the movement to public review. She was recently involved in NYC’s largest zoning text amendments since the 1960’s, “City of Yes for Economic Opportunity”, which aims to remove outdated limitations on businesses, support growing industries, and help local retail and commercial corridors thrive. Previously, Kari promoted equitable development in communities as a Capital Planner at NYC Parks. Kari has a MS in City & Regional Planning from Pratt Institute.
