David Krutsinger, AICP is the Transit Director for Denver’s Department of Transportation & Infrastructure. Created by a City Charter change in 2019, this role oversees Denver’s efforts to deliver improved city-wide transit facilities & offer transit services complementing those provided by RTD. Before joining Denver, David served previous roles as the Director of the Division of Transit & Rail within the Colorado Department of Transportation and as the Manager of Corridor Planning, Operations & Modeling at the Regional Transportation District (RTD). He also spent nine years in the private sector with several firms over his career, completing studies for corridor investments across the country.
David has over 32 years of experience in transit and transportation. He received Master of City Planning & Master of Science degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, as well as a B.S. Political Science from the University of Oregon in Eugene. He has served on a number of Boards and Commissions including Denver County Local Coordinating Council, Southwest Chief & Front Range Passenger Rail Commission, Colorado Association of Transit Agencies Board, Denver Regional Council of Governments Technical Advisory Committee, CDOT Efficiency & Accountability Committee, I-70 Collaborative Effort, & Denver Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Committee.
