Community member and non-profit manager
Ride Provide, Inc.
ARVADA, Colorado
Shelley Cook is President and General Manager of Ride Provide, Inc.
Ride Provide was established in 2003 to operate the former A-Line airport shuttle -- an RTD Skyride replacement partly funded by RTD. The non-profit served Arvada and the west-northwest part of metropolitan Denver for more than 13 years until 2016. In 2017 Shelley launched a mobile farm stand, the Arvada Veggie Van, bringing locally grown fresh produce to priority food desert neighborhoods in Arvada. The Veggie Van, soon beginning its nineth season, also partnered in the development of a new (opened 2024) mixed-use affordable housing community in the Olde Town Arvada environs which incorporates the veggie van operation as part of the complex, extending access to this high quality produce and related programming to the apartment community's residents.
