Tanner Axt, AICP (he/him/his)

Tanner Axt (Tanner the Planner) is a Senior Planner for the City and County of Denver with a decade of experience in urban and regional planning. His background spans federal and military facilities planning, Antarctic science station planning, parks master planning, and development review for both Aurora and Denver. In his current role, he focuses on commercial and multifamily developments with an emphasis on housing, urban design, and multimodal connectivity. He serves as the primary development review planner for the RiNo, Gateway, Sun Valley, and Cherry Creek West neighborhoods.

Beyond development review, Tanner contributes to major city initiatives, including the Denver Resilient Landscape Code update and the Mayor’s Tiger Team, which is working to improve the city’s permitting processes. His past work has earned regional APA awards for parks master plans in Oceanside and Goleta, CA.
