Jeannine is a collaborative, big-picture thinker with over 30 years in law, policy and strategic planning in both public and private sectors. Jeannine began her career as a land use and historic preservation lawyer in Washington, DC. Clients included developers, local government and neighborhood opposition. After 11 years, she moved to the Portland, Oregon metro region and shifted her career to focus on planning and building great communities. She served as the long-range planning manager for the City of Hillsboro in the heart of “Silicon Forest.” During that time, she helped shepherd the city through regional processes of expanding the urban growth boundary (UGB) and designating urban and rural reserves. She served as project manager for the master and infrastructure planning one of the largest UGB expansions, South Hillsboro. She also served as the planning manager for Oregon’s largest park district, where she oversaw land acquisition and long-range planning and led intergovernmental coordination efforts.
At the City of Aurora, Jeannine oversees long-range and transportation planning, development review and business development, including hosting the Aurora-South Metro SBDC, retail and urban renewal.
Jeannine’s passion lies in turning visionary plans into reality and finding common ground across disciples.
