Alison Holm is a Senior Project Leader and urban planner at NREL, where she has worked since 2016. Alison is a national thought leader on community-driven technical assistance (TA) program design with extensive experience adapting and applying research and analysis to inform on-the-ground energy decisions. She has directly led or supported over 75 community-specific TA engagements across more than a dozen NREL-implemented TA programs. Her technical and research background is in energy and resilience planning. Alison has a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado—Denver and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of New Mexico. Prior to NREL, she worked at the U.S. Energy Association and the Geothermal Energy Association in Washington, D.C.
