Perkins&Will
Atlanta, Georgia
Sarah McColley, AICP, LEED AP ND, is a Senior Urban Designer in Perkins&Will Atlanta studio who has managed dozens of projects throughout the Southeast and Puerto Rico focused on downtown and neighborhood planning, TOD, parks, trails, and equitable policies. With a background in landscape architecture and city planning, she works with communities to develop recommendations that reduce the equity gap caused by historic policy decisions, promote active living, and advance environmental sustainability. She aims to make design accessible through intuitive online platforms, graphically compelling visuals, and inclusive in-person workshops. This approach leads to visionary and implementable plans, grounded in equity and community support. Sarah practices her passions for healthy living, community-building, and learning new things in her life outside of work. For many years, she was a lecturer at Georgia Tech’s graduate City and Regional Planning program, teaching a Visualization for Planning course. She also serves on the Atlanta BeltLine Design Review Committee; volunteers her design and analysis capabilities for initiatives at Noble Clay Fitness, a non-profit seeking to reduce Atlanta’s equity gap in fitness and health; and, is an avid CrossFitter.
