Daisy is a local planner in the San Antonio Metropolitan area who strives for innovation in local planning to encourage collaborative engagement of all residents to foster and build community well-being. Daisy draws from her experiences growing up in Santa Ana, California, summers in Jalisco, and studying Urbanism in Germany. She seeks to help build better communities for all residents by encouraging youth participation in planning, nontraditional engagement practices, and celebrating the cultural richness of communities. Daisy’s current efforts include teaching the local youth about planning and using GIS to share public information. She earned a Master of Urban Planning from Texas A&M University and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego.
