Daniel Besinaiz is an Associate Planner with the City of Laguna Beach and the Chair for APA Latinos and Planning Division. Born and raised in Southern California, Daniel received his degrees from the University of Arizona and University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his graduate internship in the Twin Cities metro of Minnesota. Before returning to California, he worked in Colorado as the Senior Planner in the City of Colorado Springs' Long Range Planning Division and in Louisiana as a planner for Bossier City-Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission where Mayor Tommy Chandler declared March 21, 2022 as "Daniel Besinaiz Day" and he was nominated for Northwest Louisiana's Forty Under 40 list.
