In Lane County's Office of Emergency Management, I facilitate planning, which includes the County's Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan, Community Wildfire Protection Plan, and developing the County's first Disaster Recovery Plan. As a Senior Management Analyst, I integrate my education in community and regional planning with my experience in emergency management to advance a regional hazard mitigation and proactive emergency preparedness program with a variety of partners and stakeholders. This role includes strategic planning regarding funding opportunities to advance projects (i.e., grants, capital improvements, private-public partnerships), engaging municipal, state, and federal partners to expand regional capacity, and engaging the public regarding emergency preparedness fundamentals and discussing natural hazard risks.
