Kyle Winston is a City Planner for the City of Los Angeles Planning Department. He was born & raised in South Central Los Angeles. Kyle is a graduate of Howard University in Washington D.C. where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree. After returning to Los Angeles, Kyle worked for several architecture and planning firms. While working full time, Kyle earned his Masters in Construction Management with an emphasis in Project Management from Drexel University. Kyle has worked for the City of Los Angeles Planning Department for seven years where I've managed 7 community plan areas, managed 4 Specific Plans, 2 community plan implementation overlays, and a design review board. Kyle currently serves as President of Black Planners of Los Angeles, winner of the 2024 APA LA and APA CA Sections Award of Excellence in the Advancing Diversity and Social Change in Honor of Paul Davidoff.
