Johnny Malpica, AICP currently serves as a Senior Comprehensive Planner with the City of Colorado Springs. As a New Jersey transplant who loves the outdoors and living an urban lifestyle, he feels right at home here in Colorado. Prior to taking on a land use planning position, he worked in the higher education/community engagement space, coordinating undergraduate community-based research and service projects at Rutgers University. While he's learning all the ins and outs of landuse planning during the day, after hours you can find him finding new ways to serve his local community.
