Annie Hindenlang has a broad depth of experience with municipal and regional planning in evolving and challenging urban environments. She considers herself a quality-of-life planner that seeks to creatively solve problems through consensus building that is respectful of diverse needs and populations.
Before moving to Seattle for her current job, Annie spent a decade in redevelopment planning in New Jersey. This experience provided her a strong foundation in brownfield remediation, public financing, open space development and maintenance, comprehensive planning, project and process management, real estate development and neighborhood-scale redevelopment.
Her current role as the Planning Manager in the Planning and Capital Development Branch of Seattle Parks and Recreation has enabled her to apply these skills to meaningful, cutting-edge work that supports healthy people, a thriving environment, and vibrant communities in Seattle.
She is a proud Hokie--graduating from Virginia Tech in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning. She finished her Master of Urban and Regional Planning at Rutgers' Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.
