Shaida has worked in multimodal planning for nearly 20 years. After discovering planning and all of the parts of community and our world that transportation influences in graduate school, Shaida honed her skills and views of mobility at the MPO, H-GAC, and transit agency, METRO, in Houston, Texas working on project development, finding, transit planning, and bike and transit integration. working in the private sector for more than a decade has procided a wealth of opportunities to provide planning and project development for communities small and large in Texas and Colorado. after moving to Colorado in 2017, Shaida has been enjoying learning about the many communities across the state, the needs and challenges they face, and some of the awesome planning work that has transformed Denver and Colorado over the years. professionally, Shaida is driven to deliver technical assistance that focuses on implementation through quality design, coordination, and funding strategies. Shaida believes that transportation connects all of our community needs and goals and can be a playform for achievinh meaningful change. She is also active in APA Colorado as a member of the APA Colorado Board and Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee.
