An El Paso native, Dora Hernandez serves her community as a Climate Program Manager under Community and Human Development Department.
Prior to her current role, she worked in Washington state as a Volunteer Program Coordinator developing environmentally focused community volunteer programs. She is currently focused on outreach efforts managing the Chihuahuan Desert Climate Fellows to help inform the El Paso region's first Climate Action Plan.
Dora holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Washington State University. She is a Texas Master Naturalist and serves on the board of the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition.
