Lakewood recently adopted a "40 West ArtLine Framework Plan and Design Standards & Guidelines" to help sustain and implement the project in the long term. This mobile workshop will explore the partners involved with the district and ArtLine and methods of experience design. Participants will undertake an interactive activity that helps create a common language while they engage in:
*Noticing and analyzing the train experience; *Dissecting the multiple experience layers that make up the environments — from the five senses to emotional design; and *Engaging in activities that create a common language among participants to further their observational, analytic, and storytelling skills.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the role of arts and culture in business district development and cultural preservation and how to best leverage infrastructure for community empowerment and cultural preservation.
Better understand the elements of experience design and their relationship to urban design and people-centric community development.
Learn the elements of corridor development in a suburban and ethnically diverse community.
